BMM benefits WWO Foundation – GGB Magazine

On August 23, BMM Compliance and the Storm family held a fundraiser for the Worldwide Orphans Foundation, at Green Valley Ranch in Las Vegas. Dr. Jane Aronson, founder of Worldwide Orphans Foundation was present, and more than $30,000 was raised for WWO. Some 200-plus guests were greeted on the red carpet by the Storm family and Aronson. Guests were able to have their photos taken with Aronson, wearing her special WWO blue glasses made out of pipe cleaners—the glasses are symbolic of Aronson’s mission to help everyone to see the world through her eyes, and help her to help the orphans of the world. Martin Storm, global president and CEO of BMM International, said of the event, “The Storm family and BMM support underprivileged children, and we are very proud that so many of our friends and colleagues joined us to raise awareness of WWO. The Worldwide Orphan’s Foundation is committed to helping children to have safe and hopeful lives, and the fundraiser was a great way for us to raise money for the children, while getting together with friends and listening to great music.” The event’s master of ceremonies was Las Vegas personality Kendall Tenney, and there was music from Irwin Thomas, Aaron Hendra, The Rat Pack, local band Colorblind and local youth band Out of Date. There was a silent auction, and goodie bags for guests with items donated from the local community, a magician, a palm-reader, and even Marilyn and Elvis were on hand. “Importantly, 100 percent of the purchase price of each individual ticket will go directly to WWO, as the Storm family and BMM funded the event,” said Storm. “It was vital to let our guests know that they are helping the children of the WWO in a significant way. “This was so much more than a party—it was collectively making a difference.”...

BMM Peru announces only regional specific interoperability lab in South America

BMM International (BMM) announces this week at the Peru Gaming Show that its Peru-based interoperability laboratory will start to service the industry as of August 2012. This will be the only regional-specific, dedicated interoperability lab in South America. The new BMM lab will provide procedures and test protocols to approve interoperability between manufacturer’s gaming platforms and systems. Travis Foley, Vice President of Operations for the Americas commented, “With the added requirement of accounting systems and centralized reports, operators need to be assured that systems are not only compliant with regulations, but that they are actually compatible with the machines on their floor. Interoperability testing ensures that this is achieved.” Fernando Cuellar, Senior Manager for Client Services, BMM Peru, said, “Having BMM’s qualified engineers provide independent interoperability testing takes away the uncertainty of figuring out if it’s a system or a machine issue that is causing communications failures.” Foley added “BMM’s Lima, Peru interoperability lab will provide the highest level of service and performance to both new and existing clients in the region. This will add to BMM’s already recognized worldwide quality assurance services provided in South America. BMM will offer the most widely used systems approved by MINCETUR. We are committed to serving the region.” BMM’s Tribal iGaming workshop is a resounding success

BMM International (BMM) announced today that the BMM Tribal iGaming Workshop ‘Finding Your Path’, held at the Chukchansi Gold Resort and Casino in California, on July 31 and August 1, was a resounding success. Speakers from the BMM staff as well as other subject matter experts in the iGaming field provided presentations and interactive workshops specifically for an audience of gaming regulators and operators. The workshops covered a wide range of subjects including: the legal and licensing requirements in iGaming, a survey of regulatory structures and several sessions focusing on the actual operations of internet based gaming. Richard Williamson, SVP Regulatory said of the workshops “BMM’s aim is to educate and familiarize participants with the information they need to analyze their own tribe’s iGaming opportunities. We are not telling anyone how or what to do, we are simply providing the information in a clear and concise way, to enable our participants to make their own informed, practical decisions.” Williamson continues “BMM recognizes that information is key to making educated decisions, and this is particularly true in the field of iGaming for Tribes. With this in mind BMM is bringing a whole series of these educational workshops to Indian Gaming markets. ‘Finding Your Path’ was the first of many of this kind of event you will see from BMM.” One participant, Sherry Rodriguez from the La Jolla Gaming Commission described her experience at the workshop “Before I came to ‘Finding your Path’ I thought I was against online gaming, and concerned for the future – now I have a much greater understanding of the processes involved and I know that I need to continue to gain knowledge and understand more before I can make the right decisions. I thank BMM for enabling me to see a way forward.” ‘Finding Your Path’ was offered to tribal regulators and operators at no cost. BMM also provided complimentary meals and refreshments over the two days, in order to assist those tribes with lower budgets to still attend. Mike Dreitzer, COO – Americas, BMM, commented “We were very pleased with the significant turnout and response to this event. We take our leadership role in educating and providing information to industry participants about the iGaming space very seriously. We welcome all regulators, suppliers, operators and other accredited testlabs to join us in the continuation of the effective dissemination and sharing of this important information. We view it as our responsibility to do so given our prominent position in the industry. Working with key stakeholders in this way is crucial to what we do.” Mike added “From the response to this event, we are glad our approach is seen as a key element of our value to the gaming industry generally. Many more seminars and tailored programming of this type will be forthcoming from us in the days ahead… so watch for it.” Participant Lester Stanley of Rincon Gaming Commission commented “I’ve been to many iGaming conferences – but not one of those gave such direct and appropriate information as this workshop run by BMM. “Finding Your Path” was incredibly useful and we will all take away real-time information that we can use”. Another participant added “I can’t wait to go back to my casino and share what I’ve learned with my colleagues. I want to start using some of this information!” To learn more about this workshop, please use this link to listen to a Casino Enterprise Management Broadcast, which was recorded live at the BMM Tribal iGaming Workshop on August 1, with Mike Dreitzer, COO – Americas and Richard Williamson, SVP Regulatory – Americas....
