BMM Testlabs is pleased to announce record first quarter financial results for 2015. “Continuing from a record 2014 financial performance, BMM achieved robust year-on-year growth in the first quarter of 2015. Revenues grew 12% (22% on a constant currency basis) whilst EBITDA and Cash growth outperformed Revenue growth in percentage terms.” reported President and CEO Martin Storm. Storm added, “Growth is being driven by global customers who want better returns on their testing investments. They need their products tested better and faster than ever before without an overall reduction in testing quality. This is new value that BMM generates in the market on a continuous improvement basis.” Storm continued, “In Q1 2015 key U.S. regulators recognized the importance of having more than one gaming lab certifying products and they chose BMM. These regulators included the key states of Delaware, Kansas, Indiana and Massachusetts. They join the rest of the gaming world internationally and nearly every other gaming jurisdiction in North America who have taken the same position. Competition amongst labs is so critical to good public policy and the fundamental integrity of the gaming market. We thank them for sharing the gaming world’s vision.” BMM is one of only two gaming labs serving gaming manufacturers, regulators and operators throughout the...

BMM Testlabs is pleased to report that it provided a highly successful training course to over 30 gaming and would-be gaming professionals last week at the Massachusetts Gaming Commission (MGC). The training was provided on-site at the MGC by two of BMM’s Directors of Technical Compliance – Peter Nikiper and Jason Elison, along with Director of Math, June Light. The team provided an insight into the gaming industry for employees of the Massachusetts Gaming Commission, State police, local police and agents from the Alcoholic Beverages Control Commission. Attendees to the training sessions were given a first-hand look at the gaming industry and had the opportunity to learn about the operations of gaming machines, assess outcomes and check meters. They also learned about what services an independent test lab provides and why testing and certification services are so crucial to our regulated gaming industry. “I’m always worried when we are not catching someone because it doesn’t mean the bad guys have gone away,” said Bruce Band, a longtime New Jersey state casino regulator and current Deputy Director of MGC’s Investigations and Enforcement Bureau. “It only means we’re missing something.” The Boston Globe reported in its recent article on BMM’s MGC training. According to Nikiper and Elison, the most popular session of the course was on ‘cheats and scams’. Ellison commented “This is always an interesting subject as we discuss ways that people may try to cheat a casino, a slot machine or a table game, and the signs that you should look out for.” Nikiper added “With developments in technology, the ways people would historically try to cheat a casino have changed with the times, so the methods for identifying the would-be cheats have to do the same.” Other subjects on offer ranged from Random Number Generators and Slot Machine Math through to Field Audits and Progressive Operations. All attendees to the BMM MGC training course will receive a BMM Academy certificate. Travis Foley, EVP Operations – BMM Testlabs, concluded “BMM is grateful for the opportunity to provide this training to the MGC prior to the opening of the Plainridge Park Casino in Plainville on June 24th. We would like to thank John Glennon and Bruce Band of the Massachusetts Gaming Commission.” BMM provides training and education through the BMM Academy.
