Congratulations on your new role as Vice President of Digital Business Development at BMM Testlabs. What is your industry background, and what unique experience are you bringing to BMM?
I have extensive experience in sportsbook, online gaming, business development, risk, fraud, operations, and regulatory compliance that I am bringing to BMM. In my previous role I served as Chief Business Development Officer, providing key consulting to sports betting and iGaming operators. I led the various technology decisions necessary to create top quality sports betting platforms, negotiated market access deals and joint ventures, had oversight of operational staff and VIP management, and instituted a strong regulatory and internal control environment.
BMM has successfully operated worldwide for over 40 years. What excites you about joining the BMM team?
BMM has provided consulting for and tested many of the largest gaming networks and systems throughout the gaming industry over the past 40 years. I am very excited to join a company that has this impressive longevity, especially at such an exciting time in the company’s growth journey. I am also excited to collaborate with our partners who provide entertainment at consumers’ fingertips, certified by BMM quickly and responsibly. Sports betting and iGaming operators are in a complex environment that requires strong partnerships with well-versed and knowledgeable partners like BMM. As the longest established and most experienced gaming certification lab in the world, our team is equipped with a suite of solutions that ensure the success of our clients.
iGaming is quickly gaining interest throughout North America right now. What insight can you give us about this key sector of the gaming industry?
BMM’s iGaming and sports betting testing and certification services are in high demand globally. Recently we have seen an increase in interest across North America, as crucial compliance developments continue to evolve. At BMM, we partner with operators and manufacturers to be their turn-key solution for regulatory and compliance needs. We work in a fast-paced, innovative industry that is constantly evolving and growing, and, as a global testlab, we have the skills and experience necessary to ensure the success of our partners worldwide. The growing interest in iGaming in North America can be attributed to successful legislation, a growing consumer base, and product innovation. At BMM, we recognize that each jurisdiction is its own entity, and we are prepared to strategize with our North American partners accordingly as iGaming continues to grow.
What are your plans for 2023?
My main priority throughout 2023 is to educate North American operators and manufacturers on the incredible services that BMM has to offer. I will also actively listen to what the industry needs are, especially as 2023 developments arise, and work side by side with our team of experts at BMM to provide our industry the products, services, and trust that is needed within regulated gaming markets.
As the industry and availability of gaming grows across North America, so will the need for education on responsible gaming. In addition to BMM’s core services, I will educate our partners on the BMM Innovation Group “BIG,” which provides support in the key areas of cybersecurity and vital education training. I look forward to introducing our partners to BIG Cyber and RG24seven, companies within the BMM family that focus on strengthening and protecting our industry. BIG Cyber provides protection to the gaming industry by helping suppliers, as well as commercial and Tribal casinos, improve the security and integrity of their network infrastructure and understand their cyber vulnerabilities. RG24seven provides world class, virtual gaming training presented by industry experts on key topics including responsible gaming, anti-money laundering, corporate social responsibility, Tribal gaming, sports betting, online gaming, esports, and more.
